Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, together with the Committee of the Permanent Representatives to ASEAN (CPR) and the Ambassador of Timor-Leste to ASEAN, held an Interface with The Honourable Anwar Ibrahim, ASEAN Chair for 2025 and Prime Minister of Malaysia, at the ASEAN Headquarters/ASEAN Secretariat.
The Interface underscored Malaysia’s steadfast leadership and enduring commitment to strengthening ASEAN Community-building and regional cooperation, particularly during its ASEAN Chairmanship this year. Secretary-General Dr. Kao extended his sincere congratulations to Malaysia under the leadership of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, on the successful hosting of the 46th ASEAN Summit and related Summits in May, particularly with the adoption of the ASEAN 2045: Our Shared Future, followed by many important meetings, including the recently-concluded 58th ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting and Related Meetings in early July. These milestones reflect Malaysia’s instrumental role in advancing ASEAN’s shared vision for peace, resilience, and prosperity in the region.
