JAKARTA, 11 September 2026 – The 16th Consultation Meeting of the Initiative for ASEAN Integration (IAI) Task Force and ASEAN Partners took place today at the ASEAN Secretariat/ASEAN Headquarters in Jakarta.
The meeting brought together IAI Task Force Members from all ASEAN Member States, representatives from ASEAN Partners and International Organisations, IAI National Coordinators and Focal Points, and officials from the ASEAN Secretariat, providing a key platform to exchange views on the implementation status of the new IAI Work Plan V (2026–2030).
Briefing the Meeting on the implementation progress of ongoing projects under the IAI Work Plans, Ambassador Noy Choumneanh, Permanent Representative of Cambodia to ASEAN and Chair of the IAI Task Force, expressed appreciation to ASEAN’s partners for their continued support to the IAI and their contributions to narrowing the development gap in the region.
ASEAN Partners reaffirmed their continued support for ASEAN’s Narrowing the Development Gap (NDG) agenda and their commitment to aligning development assistance with the strategic priorities and needs of Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Viet Nam and Timor-Leste (CLMV-TL).
Both sides further reiterated their shared commitment to deepening multi-stakeholder collaboration, ensuring effective project delivery, and mobilising resources for the full implementation of the new IAI Work Plan V (2026–2030).
