Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, on 29 September 2026, held a meeting with The Hon. Mr. Anoulack Chanthivong MP, Minister for Industry and Trade; and Minister for Innovation, Science and Technology of New South Wales, Australia, in Adelaide, Australia, on the margins of the Australia-ASEAN Business Forum 2026. Both sides discussed ways to strengthen ASEAN-New South Wales cooperation across trade and investment, industry development, and science, technology and innovation, including artificial intelligence, quantum technology, and the biotech and MedTech sectors, within the broader framework of the ASEAN-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
