Secretary-General of ASEAN meets with Minister for Energy and Mining of South Australia

Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, on 30 September 2026, met with Hon. Tom Koutsantonis MP, Treasurer and Minister for Energy and Mining of South Australia, in Adelaide, Australia, on the sidelines of the Australia-ASEAN Business Forum 2026. They exchanged views on practical cooperation in renewable-energy integration, energy storage, grid planning, the ASEAN Power Grid and critical minerals. The Secretary-General welcomed South Australia’s experience in operating a high-renewable power system and looked forward to continued engagement under existing ASEAN-Australia cooperation arrangements.
