ASEAN Secretariat staff successfully concluded a three-day training on 2026 Be Cyber Ready: Cybersecurity Essentials for ASEC, held from 5 until 7 October 2026. The training was facilitated by the Republic Polytechnic Singapore, under the Enhanced Technical Assistance Programme (ETAP) for the Strengthening of the ASEAN Secretariat, implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Singapore. This programme is designed to enhance ASEAN Secretariat staff members’ awareness of cybersecurity threats, and strengthen their capacity to identify risks, report incidents promptly and adopt sound digital hygiene practices.
Singapore’s Permanent Representative to ASEAN H.E. Ambassador Gerard Ho and Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for Community and Corporate Affairs Nararya S. Soeprapto closed the event on 7 October 2026.
