The ASEAN Post-Ministerial Conference with the Republic of Korea (ROK) was held in Vientiane today, attended by the ASEAN Foreign Ministers or their representatives, Minister of Foreign Affairs of ROK Cho Tae-yul and Secretary-General of ASEAN Dr. Kao Kim Hourn. Timor-Leste attended as an Observer. The Meeting reviewed the progress of ASEAN-ROK cooperation and discussed its future direction, particularly towards the establishment of an ASEAN-ROK Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, in conjunction with the 35th Anniversary of Dialogue Relations this year. The Ministers also exchanged views on regional and international issues of common interest and concern.
