The Secretary-General of ASEAN, H.E. Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, attended the 9th AEM-Hong Kong, China Consultation held today in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The Meeting discussed, among others, the progress of the implementation of the ASEAN-Hong Kong, China FTA (AHKFTA) and ASEAN-Hong Kong, China Investment Agreement (AHKIA). The Meeting looked forward to the early signing of the First Protocol to Amend the AHKIA. The Meeting also welcomed the first extension of the AHKFTA Economic and Technical Cooperation (ECOTECH) Work Programme for 2025-2029 to continue deepening the economic integration and collaboration of all AHKFTA Parties.
