JAKARTA, 7 October 2025 – The Lead Implementing Body for Sustainable Infrastructure (LIB-SI) held its 16th Meeting today at the ASEAN Headquarters/ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta, in a hybrid format. This was the second and final meeting of the year under Malaysia’s Chairmanship. Participants included representatives from ASEAN Member States, the ASEAN Secretariat, and Timor-Leste as Observer.
LIB-SI reviewed the final-year progress under the Sustainable Infrastructure strategic area of the Master Plan on ASEAN Connectivity (MPAC) 2025. A key focus was the transition from MPAC 2025 to the new ASEAN Connectivity Strategic Plan (ACSP) 2026 onwards. Delegates discussed finalising the draft ASEAN Sustainable Infrastructure Action Plan (2026–2030) and identifying potential LIB-SI priorities for the coming years. In light of the ACSP, LIB-SI also considered updates to its terms of reference.
Representatives at the meeting included agencies responsible for national planning and development, transport, and public works.
