Deputy Secretary-General for Community and Corporate Affairs, H.E. Nararya S. Soeprapto, received Prof. Tan Sri Dr. Jemilah Mahmood, the Executive Director of Sunway Centre for Planetary Health and the Recipient of ASEAN Prize in 2019, in a courtesy meeting on 5 March 2026 at the ASEAN Secretariat.
DSG Nararya commended the impactful initiatives by Prof. Tan Sri Dr. Jemilah Mahmood, who has meaningfully contributed to advancing the ASEAN Community priorities. Both sides engaged in a forward-looking exchange on opportunities in emerging areas. They underscored the growing importance of planetary health, linking human health, environmental sustainability, and long-term resilience, while highlighting the vital role of youth in shaping the future. Both expressed interest in exploring practical approaches for cooperation.
