WE, the Sports Ministers and Heads of Delegation of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), gathered on 16 October 2025 in Hanoi, Viet Nam for the Eighth ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Sports (AMMS-8).

- CONGRATULATE Viet Nam for her AMMS chairpersonship and the successful delivery of priorities during her term, which reaffirms ASEAN’s commitment to strengthening cooperation in realising an active ASEAN Community by harnessing sports as an essential means in advancing socio-cultural development and promoting peace.
- COMMEND the prioritisation of sports as one of the strategic priorities of the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (ASCC) under Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship 2025 in harnessing the power of youth and sports to drive growth, unity, and excellence and thereby contributing to elevating the level of sports cooperation in the region through its 16 sports-related initiatives in 2025.
