THE Philippine National Police (PNP) has assured extensive safety and coordination measures for the safety of Southeast Asia’s defense officials who are set to converge in Cebu for the Asean Defense Ministers’ Meeting (ADMM) 2026 from Oct. 28 to 31.
PNP chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. directed the Police Regional Office-Central Visayas (PRO-7) and other concerned units to sustain heightened security readiness and strengthen intelligence monitoring throughout the multinational gathering.
“The absence of identified threats does not lessen our responsibility to remain vigilant,” said Nartatez.
The PNP, he added, “is fully prepared to secure ADMM 2026 through proactive security measures, close coordination with partner agencies, and the strategic deployment of our personnel.”
