LAPU-LAPU CITY – Lapu-Lapu City is tightening security, rerouting trucks and shifting selected schools to asynchronous classes as it hosts major regional defense meetings from Oct. 26 to 30.
The city government has prohibited unauthorized flying objects throughout its territory during the 20th Asean Defense Ministers’ Meeting (ADMM) and the 13th ADMM-Plus to strengthen security for visiting defense officials and delegates.
The restriction follows City Ordinance 16-033-A-2022, which regulates laser lights and pointers, laser displays, searchlights, kites, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), balloons and other remotely controlled flying objects.
