Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today visited the Central Women Correctional Institution and the Medical Correctional Hospital as part of his Working Visit to Thailand. The visit provided an opportunity to observe Thailand’s rehabilitation and reintegration programmes that support incarcerated individuals, particularly women, in their journey towards reintegration into society. Dr. Kao commended Thailand’s holistic approach to correctional care, which aligns with ASEAN’s commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive rehabilitation practices across the region.
