The 24th ASEAN-China Senior Officials’ Meeting on the Implementation of the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea (SOM-DOC) convenes in Kuching, Malaysia

Senior Officials of ASEAN Member States and China met for the 24^th ASEAN-China SOM-DOC on 14 August 2025 in Kuching, Malaysia. The Meeting reviewed the implementation of the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea and discussed ways to move the negotiations forward on the Code of Conduct in the South China Sea (COC) towards an early conclusion.
