Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today witnessed the commencement of signing of the ASEAN Framework Agreement on Competition (AFAC) on the sidelines of the 57th ASEAN Economic Ministers’ Meeting (AEM) and Related Meetings, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
This agreement reflects ASEAN’s shared commitment to strengthen regional cooperation toward a coherent policies and harmonised regulatory framework on competition, thereby ensure a fair and level playing field for businesses, and building a resilient, transparent, and competitive ASEAN economy.
