Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today met with H.E. Sugiono, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jakarta. During the meeting, they exchanged views on recent regional developments, including preparations for the upcoming second Special ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting on the Situation in the Middle East scheduled for next week, and discussed how to enhance ASEAN’s resilience against potential risks of food and energy insecurity. They also discussed ASEAN’s priorities for the year and preparations for the 48th ASEAN Summit in May 2026 under the Chairship of the Philippines.
