Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today met with Ambassador of the Russian Federation to ASEAN, H.E. Evgeny Zagaynov, at the ASEAN Headquarters/ASEAN Secretariat. They exchanged views on further strengthening the ASEAN-Russia Strategic Partnership, particularly in light of the 35th anniversary of ASEAN-Russia relations this year, including advancing cooperation in areas of mutual interest under the ASEAN-Russia Comprehensive Plan of Action (2021–2025) and its successor document. They also discussed the latest regional and global developments, including evolving energy market conditions, and shared perspectives on issues of common interest and concern, reaffirming the importance of dialogue and cooperation in promoting regional peace and stability.
