The 14th Meeting of the ASEAN-New Zealand Joint Cooperation Committee (ANZJCC), held today at the ASEAN Headquarters/ASEAN Secretariat, reaffirmed both sides’ commitment to further deepening cooperation under the ASEAN-New Zealand Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP). The Meeting was co-chaired by H.E. Ambassador Dr. Ton Thi Ngoc Huong, Permanent Representative of Viet Nam to ASEAN, and H.E. Joanna Anderson, Ambassador of New Zealand to ASEAN, and was attended by the Permanent Representatives of ASEAN Member States or their representatives, as well as representatives of the ASEAN Secretariat.
The Meeting took note of the completion of implementation of the ASEAN-New Zealand Plan of Action (POA) (2021–2025) and the progress achieved thus far in implementing the ASEAN-New Zealand POA (2026–2030), which commenced in January 2026. Building on the momentum of the 50th anniversary of ASEAN-New Zealand Dialogue Relations in 2025, both sides looked forward to advancing cooperation under the CSP including through the implementation of the POA (2026–2030).
