Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today gave an interview to Asahi Shimbun, on the sidelines of the 59th ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (AMM) and related meetings, in Manila, the Philippines. During the interview, Dr. Kao underscored the significance of ASEAN’s engagements with Dialogue Partners in conjunction with the series of meetings, highlighting how these interactions reinforce ASEAN Centrality. Dr. Kao also discussed ASEAN’s expectations to strengthen its strategic partnership with Japan and to navigate broader regional architecture through ASEAN-led mechanisms.
