Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN Political-Security Community, H.E. Dato’ Astanah Abdul Aziz, today met with Minister of Justice of Timor-Leste, H.E. Sérgio de Jesus Fernandes da Costa Hornai, to exchange views on law and legal cooperation in ASEAN, in particular in the areas of law and justice, as well as cooperation on combatting illicit drugs.
DSG Dato’ Astanah reaffirmed the ASEAN Secretariat’s continued support for Timor-Leste’s participation and contribution to the ASEAN Community-building, including its active engagement in ASEAN cooperation on drug matters, as well as in advancing the rule of law and rules-based agenda.
