Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, on 15 September 2026, delivered remarks at the Reception commemorating the fifth anniversary of the ASEAN–China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP) in Beijing, China, on the sidelines of his working visit to China.
In his remarks, Dr. Kao highlighted the steady progress of ASEAN–China relations over the past 35 years and the achievements of cooperation under the CSP. He underscored the importance of building on this milestone to further deepen cooperation, including through the implementation of the ASEAN–China Plan of Action 2026–2030. He also emphasised the shared goal of advancing a more connected, resilient, innovative, sustainable and people-centred ASEAN-China partnership that delivers benefits for both sides and the wider region.
