On the sidelines of his participation in the 23rd CAEXPO, in Nanning, China, Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, on 17 September 2026, held a meet-and-greet with representatives of Chinese media outlets, including People’s Daily, Xinhua News Agency, China Media Group, China Daily, China News Service, Guangxi Daily, Guangxi Radio and Television Station.
During the 30-minute session, Dr. Kao responded to questions and shared his views on a wide range of issues including ASEAN–China relations; the opportunities and challenges of the ASEAN-China Free Trade Area (ACFTA) 3.0 Upgrade Protocol; artificial intelligence and its potential benefits, among others. The 23rd CAEXPO officially opens on 17 September and runs till 21 September 2026.
