Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today had a pull-aside meeting with H.E. Pol. Gen. POR Phak, Secretary of State, Ministry of Interior and SOMTC-Cambodia Leader, on the margins of the 19th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Transnational Crime and its Related Meetings in Melaka, Malaysia. Both sides discussed Cambodia’s role as the ASEAN Senior Officials’ Meeting on Transnational Crime (SOMTC) Voluntary Lead Shepherd on the arms smuggling priority area since 2005, as well as close coordination between Cambodia and the ASEAN Secretariat in advancing ASEAN’s collective efforts to combat transnational crime in the region.
