JAKARTA, 19 March 2024 – The Lead Implementing Body for Sustainable Infrastructure (LIB-SI) convened its 13th Meeting today at the ASEAN Secretariat, with participation by ASEAN Member States, the ASEAN Secretariat, and Timor-Leste as Observer. This meeting was LIB-SI’s first meeting under Lao PDR’s 2024 ASEAN Chairmanship with the theme of “ASEAN: Enhancing Connectivity and Resilience”.
During the meeting, LIB-SI representatives exchanged views on a wide range of issues, including the progress and challenges in implementing the Master Plan on ASEAN Connectivity (MPAC) 2025 sustainable infrastructure initiatives and their work plan for 2024-2025.
LIB-SI spearheads sustainable infrastructure cooperation under the MPAC 2025, with representatives from agencies in charge of national planning and development, transport, and public works.
