Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today paid a courtesy call on Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, H.E. Sugiono, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia, in Jakarta. SG Dr. Kao congratulated H.E. Sugiono on his recent appointment as the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Indonesia. They exchanged views on issues of importance to ASEAN and discussed ways to move forward ASEAN’s Community building efforts. SG Dr Kao especially thanked the Government of the Republic of Indonesia, as the host country, for consistently extending its support to the ASEAN Secretariat and reaffirmed the Secretariat’s readiness to provide full support ASEAN Member States in their efforts to advance the goals of ASEAN beyond 2025.
