The ASEAN Senior Officials’ Meeting (SOM) took place today in Vientiane, Lao PDR. Attended by all ASEAN Member States, Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for ASEAN Political-Security Community, and Timor-Leste as Observer, the Meeting discussed matters related to ASEAN Community-building, including Lao PDR’s Chairmanship priorities, ASEAN’s external relations, and preparations for the 57th ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (AMM)/Post-Ministerial Conferences (PMCs) and Related Meetings in July 2024.
