ASEAN Post-Ministerial Conference with the United Kingdom adopts Joint Statement on Connectivity

The ASEAN Post-Ministerial Conference with the United Kingdom (UK) was convened in Vientiane today, attended by the ASEAN Foreign Ministers or their representatives, Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs of the UK David Lammy and Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for ASEAN Political-Security Community Dato’ Astanah Abdul Aziz. Timor-Leste attended as an Observer. The Meeting adopted the ASEAN-UK Joint Ministerial Statement: Enhancing Connectivity for a Prosperous and Sustainable Future. Additionally, the Ministers noted the progress in the implementation of the ASEAN-UK Plan of Action (2022-2026), expressed commitment to enhancing Dialogue Relations, and exchanged views on regional and international issues of common concern.
