Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, this morning started off a series of meetings in Vientiane, Lao PDR by meeting with H.E. General Vilay Lakhamphong, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Security of Lao PDR and the Chair of ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Transnational Crime (AMMTC) for 2024. Dr. Kao congratulated Lao PDR for the successful AMMTC Chairmanship and its deliverables. He also expressed the ASEAN Secretariat’s readiness to continue working closely with Lao PDR to advance law enforcement cooperation in combatting transnational crime, particularly in the implementation of practical activities and projects.
