IAI Task Force Accredits New Projects under IAI Work Plan V (2026-2030), Reviews Progress under Work Plans III and IV

JAKARTA, 10 September 2026 – The 80th Initiative for ASEAN Integration (IAI) Task Force Meeting, the final IAI Task Force Meeting of the year, was convened today at the ASEAN Secretariat/ASEAN Headquarters.

The meeting was chaired by AmbassadorNoy Choumneanh, Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Cambodia to ASEAN and Chair of the IAI Task Force for 2026 and was attended by IAI Task Force Members. IAI National Coordinators from Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Viet Nam and Timor-Leste (CLMV-TL), as well as officials from the ASEAN Secretariat were also in attendance.

The meeting accredited four (4) new projects supporting the implementation of the new IAI Work Plan V (2026-2030), bringing the total number of accredited projects to six (6). The IAI Task Force also reviewed the final Output Monitoring Report of the IAI Work Plan IV (2021-2025), alongside progress updates on ongoing projects under the IAI Work Plans III and IV.

IAI National Coordinators presented country-level updates, highlighting key achievements and operational challenges in implementing IAI projects in their respective countries.

The meeting further noted updates on the preparation of the IAI Task Force Chair’s report to the 39th Meeting of the ASEAN Coordinating Council (ACC).
