SINGAPORE, Sept. 24, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Taipei and Singapore are strengthening their technology partnership as artificial intelligence (AI) and semiconductor demand brings their economies closer together. Taiwan became Singapore’s largest goods trading partner in 2025, with bilateral trade reaching S$170.3 billion, up 46% year on year; trade rose a further 94.1% in the first half of 2026 compared with the same period a year earlier. The relationship reflects complementary strengths: Singapore’s role as a trusted regional hub for enterprise adoption, governance, finance and ASEAN expansion, and Taipei’s depth in AI, semiconductors, hardware, edge computing and systems integration.
Against this backdrop, Taipei City will return to Tech Week Singapore 2026 from 29–30 September at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre, where the Taipei Pavilion will showcase how Taiwanese technology companies can support Singapore’s AI and digital transformation ambitions while developing partnerships across Southeast Asia.
Organised by the Taipei City Government Department of Economic Development in collaboration with the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), the Taipei Pavilion will feature 12 exhibitors under the theme “Smart Tech, Innovative Taipei.” The delegation will include BigObject Inc., Optiqb AI Technology Limited, IPEVO Corp., Qulip Technology Inc., NETIO Technologies Co., Ltd., Shuttle Inc., SYSTEX Corporation, Galaxy Software Services Corporation, Eslitec Co., Ltd., Harbor Technology Solutions Co., Ltd., AR2VR Co., Ltd. and Ubitus. Together, the exhibitors will present capabilities spanning AI-ready data, cybersecurity, edge computing, industrial systems, multilingual communication, immersive training, AI avatars, digital engagement and smart-city applications.

Taipei’s growing international AI ecosystem is reflected in its partnership with NVIDIA. Taipei City has signed an agreement supporting NVIDIA’s Taiwan headquarters at Beitou–Shilin Technology Park, while the city is also working with NVIDIA on smart-city initiatives, including AI-powered simulation and digital modelling to support future Taipei Metro upgrades. Taipei has also expanded cooperation with international technology cities, including Phoenix and Dresden, in areas such as high-tech innovation, smart governance and talent development.
These partnerships reinforce Taipei’s role as a city where advanced technology can move from research and infrastructure into practical urban, enterprise and community applications. Tech Week Singapore offers a further opportunity to connect this ecosystem with Singapore-based companies, regional customers and partners across ASEAN.
Themed “The Infrastructure Era”, Tech Week Singapore 2026 will examine the foundations required to deploy AI and emerging technologies at scale. Through the Taipei Pavilion, Taipei City and TAITRA will highlight how collaboration between Taipei and Singapore can help translate technology strengths into practical outcomes for enterprises, public-sector organisations and communities across the region.
