Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, on 20 August 2026, met with the ASEAN Committee in Brasília (ACB), currently chaired by H.E. Andhika Chrisnayudhanto, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the Federative Republic of Brazil, during his Working Visit to Brazil. Dr. Kao and members of the ACB exchanged views on the latest developments in ASEAN and explored ways to further strengthen the ASEAN-Brazil Sectoral Dialogue Partnership. The gathering also underscored the ACB’s important role in promoting ASEAN’s interests, enhancing awareness and visibility of ASEAN in Brazil, and fostering closer engagement between ASEAN and key stakeholders across the country.
