Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, this morning delivered special remarks at the Joint Opening Ceremony of the 44th ASEAN Ministers on Energy Meeting (AMEM) and its Associated Meetings and the ASEAN Energy Business Forum 2026 (AEBF-26), in Manila, the Philippines, where he highlighted the importance of regional energy security, connectivity, and cooperation in advancing ASEAN’s energy transition and long-term resilience under the ASEAN Community Vision 2045 and the ASEAN Plan of Action for Energy Cooperation 2026-2030.
