THE Philippines and Indonesia on Friday signed an agreement to cooperate on nickel production, policy and responsible mining.
The deal was forged at the High-Level Business Roundtable led by the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry at the 48th Asean Summit in Cebu City.
Signing the agreement were representatives of the Philippine Nickel Industry Association (PNIA) and the Asosiasi Penambang Nikel Indonesia, witnessed by Trade Secretary Cristina Roque and Indonesia’s Chief Economics Minister Airlangga Hartarto.
